Level Commissioning

Level commissioning is the process of using tank dimensions and product knowledge to set up level data unique to the tank it’s being installed on.

This ensures that the level being read will be at its most accurate even with external influences, for example, probes intruding within a radar beam. The process typically involves using site drawings to enter correct empty and full distances and then to produce satisfactory mapping for the installation.

Once the measurements have been taken, the data is then compared with either a manual dip of the tank to get a known level or fed in through flow meters to compare. All our on-site process instrumentation commissioning will come with a printout of the settings within the meters for the customer’s reference.

We also provide analytical instrument calibration when conducting this as it will provide you with the most accurate readings possible at every stage.
