I had the job to front a team of engineers, over a 4 week period, to carry out the maintenance and testing of all Unattended Machinery Spaces alarm points. Some of the spaces included in this work are as follows;
•Generator spaces
•Thruster spaces
•Refrigeration Compartments
•Bilge testing
After Identifying and locating all these alarm points we would produce certification for all and notify any failures. From this list, we would then order spares.
This work was repeated on all 3 sister ships back in the UK.
