The execution

The job was to investigate some Endress and Hauser level sensors, installed on a ship’s fuel oil cargo tanks and test the loop to the associated barriers. Some slight drifting was noticed on the level compared to the dips that were taken.

Firstly a PDF was taken, followed by an analysis of the envelope curve to ensure optimum mapping was achieved. Following this, a change to the offset was made to line in with the dip and to check the change of settings were correct, a loop check was done by simulating a level change and checking the output from the associated RN221 barrier.

Another happy customer.
